Our agency employees highly trained police officers and communications officers who are readily available to assist you 24 hours 7 days a week. Chief Na'Shayla Nelson has been in public service for over 20 years beginning with her Army Career. She has worked in every facit of policing to include Uniform Field Operations, Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations, Administrative Services. She has also supervised traffic, K9, emergency communications, community engagement, budget administration, training, recruitment, and retention. She is an acomplished grant writer, public speaker, and law enforcement instructor. 

She has attended FBI-LEEDA (eTriology), New Chief/Deputy Chief School, Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS)- University of Richmond, FBINAA Supervisor's Training, along with other professional courses. 

Chief Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Public Administration with a Concentration in Disaster Management, and a Master of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration. She is a current doctoral candidate focusing on her PhD in Public Policy and Administration.
